Secret Codes 250

For students graduating 3rd-5th grade in '11-’12 school year

Date: Week 1 - June 18-22

Time: 3:30 - 5:00 PM

Secret codes have been used throughout human history---in our play, to keep things safe or hidden, and even in our wars. Learn about how cryptograms and various types of ciphers work. Learn and understand how to create your very own! Stump your neighbor or get stumped yourself! Students will study the connections that mathematical and algebraic thinking have with these special kinds of codes.

 

Prerequisites for Secret Codes 250: Student should be a strong math student, enjoy persisting through puzzles and challenges, and be able to work well with others.
